How To Apply


You are advised to read through all of the information in each step below, before registering and creating your account.

Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m., Central Time, May 1, 2015.

Recommendations for semifinalists will need to be submitted online by 5:00 p.m. between May 16 and June 1, 2015.

Register Online

DO NOT REGISTER MORE THAN ONCE!

It is strongly recommended that you use a current version of Google Chrome as your web browser when completing your application.  It is also recommended you use a computer, as the application is currently not supported on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.  Google Chrome may be downloaded for free at
www.google.com/chrome/browser/.

You must enter your registration information accurately and completely. Be sure to use the correct combination of uppercase and lowercase letters. After you enter your registration information, you will be sent an email to validate your account from
no-reply@scholarshipamerica.org.  You must wait for this email before you can begin the application.  Be sure to check your Junk email box as the validation email may be blocked by your spam filter.  If you do not receive your validation email within an hour of registering or you need assistance creating an account, you will need to use the Contact Us tab above and notify our Customer Service staff.  Customer Service hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. central time, Monday - Friday, except holidays. You may Contact Us online.

You will need to retain your Username and password, once created.

Step 3

Take the Eligibility Quiz

After you've registered and validate your account, log in and take the eligibility quiz. If you pass the eligibility quiz, the remainder of the application will launch automatically. If you do NOT pass the eligibility quiz, you will receive a notification and the application will not be available to you. 
 


Step 4  

Complete the Application
After validating your account, the application Start button will appear on your My Portal page.  To begin click the Start button.  You will be able to return to the application to update and edit as frequently as desired. However, after you have submitted the application, or after the deadline, the application will no longer be available.
